Hello Roadrunners,

We had a great week! We have begun reading the novels from our new units while continuing to work on our writing, spelling, and grammar skills. If you didn’t know, we are currently studying:

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck (1st, 3rd, 6th)

– We will begin reading Chapter 3, continue working on vocab and grammar, and will look at practice problems that might be seen on the Arizona State Test. We will also have a quiz on Chapter 2 of OMAM on Monday 11/8.

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (4th, 5th, 7th)

We will begin reading section 3 reading of BNW (Chapters 7, 8, 9), continue working on vocab and grammar, and will look at practice problems that might be seen on the ACT Test this spring. Students will also work on presenting their BNW DIY Projects, where they created their own Utopia/Dystopia.
